My Apologies to All Members
emails from members as far back as May 3rd. I apologize greatly for this and I hope you all didn't think I was ignoring your support requests. I strive to make customer support a top priority and always answer support requests and emails as quickly as I can.
Please, if you have an important request send it in again and in the future if I don't answer your requests in 24 hours, send a ticket through our support ticket page. www.lovelltechnology.com/esupport/index.php or email me direct at support@blogsoldiers.com
Again, if you sent in an email or support ticket that was unanswered, Please accept my sincerest apologies, it will not happen again.
Sorry Everyone, Pat Lovell
On a side note:
I'm working on a Getting Started tutorial as I've had alot of complaints about only seeing one Blog while surfing. This is caused by only checking one or two categories for surfing. We do not have enough Blogs entered yet to support single category surfing. We have over 800
Blogs entered so it won't be long before we can support single category surfing. To view all sites, login and click Surf by Category then click all the categories for surfing. If you don't want to view Adult Blogs leave that category unchecked.

Bloggers Beware
What can we as Bloggers do? I suggest we start a campaign against this form of Blog Spam. Stop these people before they sell thousands of these blog spammers, spread the word and block these spammers now. I know it's a pain to have someone register to comment on your blog, but if you require registration, this junk software will not work, unless the spammers register on your blog. If they do you can delete them quickly.
Bloggers unite! and stop these Spammers. If you want to read a good article on stopping blog spam check out this forum thread, scroll down and read the article.

Weekly Update and Information
Second, I would like to apologize for the downtime yesterday.I was unable to connect to the internet because my ISP was down. To top it off, I had the bandwidth set to low on our server and the site was taken offline for while. This was my fault as BlogSoldiers is hosted on my own server. lol. I've raised the bandwidth to unlimited, so that won't happen again. I've logged in and approved all blogs and processed credit purchases and upgrades. Thanks for your patience.
Our contest is going well, I've already found 6 blogs in other blog exchanges with a link back to BlogSoldiers. If you haven't already added our button or banner to your Blog, make sure you do. If I see it while surfing the other sites, you will win credits. The best part is, if a new member sees it and joins the site, you will get a referral and earn extra credits everytime they surf. It's a win-win situation.
I've been approving Blogs as fast as I can, and I have also run across a lot of submissions that are not Blogs. If you've submitted a site and it has been changed from 'waiting for admin approval' to 'Hold', you have submitted a regular website and it won't be approved. I am working hard to keep the exchange clean of Non-Blog sites.
Don't forget - Surf and Assign your credits.

Assign Your Credits and Keep Surfing
The second reason you may be seeing the same Blog over and over is many members have not assigned their credits to their Blog(s). To fix this, you can do 1 of 2 things. Click on the 'Assign Credits' button in the members area and assign credits to your Blog. The other way is to Surf, sign on and click start surfing and build up some credit. I have implemented many ways to earn bonus/extra credits while surfing. The are all listed in the Blog Entry below.
For the next week I will be giving away random credits, how will i do this? I surf all the Blog Exchanges a couple times a week. I will be surfing everyday for the next week. If I see a Blog on one of the other exchanges and you have a Blog Soldiers Banner, Button, or Post about our site I will give you 100 credits. Make sure you have it linked using your referral id, that's how I will know who you are. Winners will be posted in the members area.
So remember, Surf alot - Assign your Credits and Watch for all the Bonuses.

A Very Successful Launch.
The hardest part for me is approving the Blogs for the exchange. It's not that it takes up time and gets tedious after a while, the hard part is the Blogs are interesting and I find myself reading and getting sidetracked from approving. :)
I have added alot of different ways to earn extra/bonus credits while you are surfing our exchange. There is a bonus page that pops up while surfing and you will be presented with a True or False question to claim your bonus. Another is the Word Hunt game on the surfing frame. Letters are earned randomly and when you complete the word or phrase you will get a nice bonus. Yet another way to get bonus credits is to watch the surfing frame, a link will appear that you have to click to claim your credits. I hope this gives surfers some variety and a chance to get some bonus credits to add to your Blog.
Please add suggestions or comments to the Blog if you have them. I'm always looking for new ideas and different ways to improve the membership.

New Blog Only Traffic Exchange
Pat Lovell, founder of Lovell Technology, LLC has spent the last 6 months researching Blogs. "Anytime we venture into a new market, I always spend time getting to know the market and the people involved. This gives our company a clear understanding of the needs of Bloggers both experienced and those new to the industry."
BlogSoldiers is free to join and you can get traffic to your Blog the same day you join. It's a very easy way to get traffic to your Blog. In order for you to maximize your membership, it's good to understand the general idea of how it works. Basically, you need to earn 'credits' in order to get blog traffic exposure. These credits are gained by visiting other members' blogs. If you don't have time to surf or you need quick exposure, credits can be purchase for a small fee. When you have enough credits, your blog becomes eligible for rotation in our system. Your Blog is shown in our Surfing Browser where other members will view it.
BlogSoldiers offers many other resources for members with both Free and Paid memberships. You can display banners and text links throughout the website for more exposure. There is a Blog Directory available with many categories to choose from. Some other resources available include how to videos, blog education center, blog tools and much more.

Linking is Important to Increase Traffic to your Blog
The second most important way to advertise a Blog is to get other Bloggers linking to you. Why second you may ask. Surely links are the single most important. In a way they are, but, without a unique and interesting Blog , you are unlikely to inspire the links in the first place.
As well as the Unique Blog, the sure fire way to attract links is to create an interesting and original post. Copying other peoples posts, or simply linking to news will only encourage the visitor to become a passerby and travel straight to the original source more often. The one exception to the rule are sites that collect relevant news in one easy access location. slashdot.org for instance is a repository for ?News for Nerds", and adds value allowing readers to submit news and add comments.
It's also worth noting that a Blog creator shouldn't feel shy about requesting a link from another Blog that has a common interest. After all, that's what the Internet is allowing, the ability for communities with similar interests to meet. Blog owners are, after all, there to be involved in a community.
Being involved in a community means you too should create links. Creating links will encourage linkage in a wonderful form of Karma tag generation. Using web site statistic tools, such as CQ Counter, allows the site owner to keep an eye on where their web traffic originates from. There are also scripts, like Sean Nolan's Link Feedback, that allow this information to be posted on your web page. It's likely that if you start generating significant traffic one way, they will reciprocate by linking to you.
Keeping the community theme going, BlogSoldiers is a community of Bloggers that are waiting to look at your Blog in return for you looking at their Blogs. You can setup an account in minutes and start viewing other Blogs the same day. Check it out. BlogSoldiers.com
